Allyson Felix

Allyson Nicole Felix was born on November 18 of 1985 in Los Angeles. Paul Felix, the father of Allyson Michelle Felix, is a minister at Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix works as a teacher of primary schools in Balboa Magnet. Felix realized early on that she had a talent to run when she was a student at Los Angeles Baptist High School. She finished second in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships within just 10 weeks after the first time she tried out. In 2003, Felix graduated from high school having signed a professional contract with the athletics company Adidas before enrolling at the University of Southern California where she studied elementary education. The first Olympic medal was won at the 2004 Summer Olympics which took place which took place in Athens Greece. Felix set a world junior record for running 200m in 22.18 seconds. She became the youngest world winner in the 200m at the Helsinki World Championships and defended her title in 2007 by beating her time-tested Jamaican competitor Veronica Campbell. Felix participated in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo and has consistently ranked within the top three athletes in her respective events.
